Sponsorship The Beltway BBQ Showdown contest highlights the art of barbequing to citizens living in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s Department of Parks and Recreation focuses and promotes leisure and recreational services. As an event sponsor, organizations can test new markets, introduce products and play a role in an event that focuses on a distinct and valued historical pastime – BBQ! NOTE: Early sponsorship registration is encouraged. If you would like to be on location the day of the festival prime spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
