Featured Events Xtreme Teens: Friday Night Fun
 Friday, May 31: Grill teams report at 5 pm. Activities take place 7-9:30 pm.
On the field:
- Games2U games and the mobile Game Station Van.
- A Kickball Tournament! Get a team of 10 of your friends and register for a kickball tournament!
- Xtreme Teens BBQ Grill Off - A teen coach and 4 grill mates comprise a team. Register in person at your local community center. Registration deadline is May 29, 2013.HURRY! Only 10 teams will be accepted!
On Stage
WPGC radio will bring entertainment and giveaways for all to enjoy! Also, enjoy live, musical and dance performers from this past year's teen winners Under the Big Tent – the Tasting Tent! Buck-A-Bone
Enjoy the best ribs in town prepared by the hottest grill teams in the area! If you don’t mind licking your fingers, this is the place for you! How it works – purchase tickets from the Information Booth or Ticket Booth. Then redeem tickets for great tasting ribs. How much – it’s a “Buck-A-Bone”, one buck, a dollar - allows you to sample a rib from the variety of Beltway BBQ Showdown BBQ competitors. It’s the best deal in town!

The "People’s Choice" Sauce Contest
Different sauces from the Beltway BBQ Showdown competitor teams will be available. How do you vote? Receive a free pork sample, select from the variety of savory sauces and then vote for your favorite! Winner will be declared and announced from the main stage at the end of the day. Some of the sauces are available for purchase from the grill teams. (Limited supplies while they last)
Cooking Demonstrations
Check out informative, creative and innovative demos from our master chef who will share professional secrets, recipes and kitchen skills to improve your way around the kitchen and grill.
Around the Grounds Children’s Area
Children will enjoy moon bounces, games, rides, face painting and a balloon twister. Craft projects include making chef hats, aprons and make your own BBQ teddy. For everyone we’ll have a mechanical bull, a cornhole game and commemorative photos!
Volunteers
We love our volunteers! If you are 15 or older, and would like to join the fun it’s not too late! Click here to sign up. Most of the positions will be in the Children’s Area. We look forward to having you!

This popular event is back, and bigger than ever!
On Stage
Great entertainment - all in one location! The lineup includes Swamp Dog, Secret Society, Mousey Thompson and the James Brown Experience. We'll end the day with the beautifu sounds of D.C.'s own Be'La Dona.
