Education and Outreach Programs

These FREE education and outreach programs listed below are available to all Prince George's County Schools and community centers by request.

Nature 101

Rangers visit your classroom or facility for a one-hour presentation on insects, plants, snakes, rabies, animals, and other nature related information.

Bike Rodeo/Bike Safety

Rangers provide a skills course, a safety discussion and video, and lead the bicyclist group in a bike safety course. Participants must bring their own working bikes and properly fitting helmets. Age 16 and under.

Ranger "Jeopardy"

Join the Park Rangers in their version of the game show "Jeopardy." Safety is the subject and categories include bike safety, mammals, bites and stings, recycling, animal babies and more! Grades 2 to 6.

Career Day

Rangers discuss job duties and answer questions on Park Ranger-related career paths. Grades Pre-K to 12.

Safety Baseball

Rangers teach students Safety 101 through a 45-minute, interactive game. Grades 1 to 4.
