Level Placement

In an effort to afford each swimmer the attention that he/she deserves, practice groups will be established based on the level of training with consideration to age (rather than by age only). Swimmers' placement into each group will be based on swimmer performance: first during the scheduled tryout and then during the training session. All swimmers between the ages of 6 and 17 are welcome to tryout.

Skill assessments will be conducted on the first few days of practice and adjustments may be made to the participant's level, if necessary. In the event the swimmer does not pass tryouts, registration payments will be credited to the SMARTlink account or refunded. If a participant is moved to another level, they will be withdrawn for the originally registered level and registered for the new level once the additional fees are paid if applicable.

Multi-Child Discount

A 10% discount for swimmers beyond the first registration within a family can be applied for participants in Level 1 and 2. Swimmers must be in the same family account in SMARTlink. Multi-Child Discount is not applicable for Level 1 participants.

To receive the Multi-Child Discount, place the money on your SMARTlink account and then send an email to the Swim Team to complete your registration. You will receive a confirmation receipt once the registration is complete. Discounts cannot be applied online or at the facilities, so please contact team registrar at 301-446-6825 to complete this process.

Payment Plans

Money is not automatically deducted from credit cards, therefore, you must manually apply money to your SMARTlink account prior to each payment plan due date listed below. Late payments may restrict your swimmer from participating in practices and/or meets until the balance on the account is paid. A non-refundable USA Swimming Registration fee ($82) is will be processed at the time of registration cost. Payment plans will be calculated based on the "prorated by program session" course fee.
